Wanna Love You Tender

This is my cover of a scandinavian song from the 70s. You can watch the original video on Youtube: Wanna Love You Tender, by Danny and Armi … it’s quite funny.

Here is my version in the style of Epic Doom Metal: mp3

Lyrics

I love you, I wanna love you tender.
You could be my only sweet surrender.
I would never cause you any kind of sorrow.

You love me, you wanna love me tender.
How can I be sure you’re not pretending?
You want me today, but what about tomorrow?

Oh, you’re absolutely fine,
Your lips they taste of wine.
I’d like to think you’re mine.
And if I could touch your hand,
This rock would turn to sand,
So this is where we stand.

If we all say “Wanna love you tender,”
No one has to be a great pretender.
And this world would be a better place to live in.

Technical Info

Here is my recording setup:

Guitars are now done through an HT-Dual distortion pedal (all-tube) and then sent through a convolver plugin loaded with some Diezel and Engl cab impulses. This allows me to have a real tube sound with a particular emulated microphone/room/cabinet combination of my choice. It allows for repeatability in getting a good guitar sound, and I can record quietly.

Here I only did two guitars for the rhythm tracks, one on each side, and down the line I’ll probably add another set to double it, but it sounds fine for now. Only used an AT2020 condenser mic for the vocals. No auto-tune on the vocals.
